Web Marketing Done Right

About Me

The Clifinar SEO blog was created as an exercise in search engines optimization and marketing – to be the first on google for the term “Clifinar”. – (update: the competition is over, the blog is not)

Search engine optimization (SEO) is a very interesting subject and I decided to keep running the blog. Through it I will try to keep you posted on various SEO, SEM and web analytics practises. I will also use this SEO blog to experiment with new tools and ideas in search engine optimization. Any insights I will get from that I will make sure to post here.

  1. Hi );
    As a blogger who authors Webmetricsguru.com, TheAnalyticsGuru.com and ArtNewYorkCity.com, I’m writing to tell you about a new blog network my business partner Sebastian Wenzel (who writes WebAnalyticsBook.com) and I recently started, BlogSpeedWay.com around the idea of building online reputation, research and thought leadership. We’re thinking Web Analytics, but more than that, to a grouping of niche verticals.

    We’re starting with Web Analytics (that’s our subject area) and Gardening (it just so happens, I tested my Social Media Targeting Methodology on an area I know next to nothing about).

    Part of all of this was to not only get quality bloggers to join us, but to contribute to research by creating the blog network, and produce research regularly. In a way, your blog, as a test and exercise, had a goal not unlike our own – but it also serves a larger purpose, and blogspeedway also shares that quality.

    Right now we’re thinking of Blogspeedway as a loose confederation of blogs – but, as I explain later on, we do plan on running ads down the line, and sharing the revenue from them ~75% blogger and 25% blogspeedway.com; we’re building the first niches and then building out the rest, adding as we go along – I’ve set a goal of at least 60 blogs by New Years Eve, and 400 blogs by the end of 2009.

    Anyway, we have been searching for up and coming blogs in the Web Analytics and Social Media Category (I see them as related), using social media targeting, and yours came up as one that is a potentially influential in your category. You can see a list of the influentials at blogspeedway.com

    Recently I wrote a post on Blogspeedway speeding along down the Internet Highway (http://www.blogspeedway.com/blogspeedway-speeding-along-down-the-internet-highway) to give why it was important to blog and what it can potentially do for your in your subject area; but we also see an unmet need that bloggers need support and, perhaps, a sense of belonging to a greater whole, where there can be shared knowledge and expertise that benefits us all.

    We are planning on building advertising around our blogs; at this point, we’re just getting started and increasing our blog presence by adding several new bloggers.

    You can also friend me on Facebook, if you’d like.
